Rio Boco once again

For the fifth time, hydrology students of the VU university have come to the Aveiro region to study the catchment of the Rio Boco river as part of their masters program. This year, the team consist of 12 students: Beatriz, Camilo, Chris, Cristina, Hannes, Ine, Inge, Jeska, Jouke, Stefan, Trude, Vanessa and 3 staff members: Vincent, Michel (first 2 weeks) and Boris (last 2 weeks). Here we will report on the things that are going on during our stay here.

This year's edition has started with already quite a bit of rain. We were just in time to install the rain gauges and the water level recorders in the Rio Boco and its tributaries. Rainfall amounts on the first day varied between 2 and 4 mm but more rain is expected. All in all a good start!
